For the 13th ‘Changing Worlds’ series, we invited Dr David Boggett to share his his research on the community of people conscripted by the Japanese, forsaken by the British and forgotten by their governments – Asian workers coerced by Japanese Army to construct the Death Railway.


A good afternoon discussions on the people conscripted by the Japanese army, abandoned by the British and forgotten by their governments, victims of the Death Railway of Thailand and Burma. It was great that a few Indians came and related their family stories.
