About the Speaker
Rev. James Minchin is a Melbourne Anglican Priest and Social Reformer.  He was in Singapore from 1968 to 1971. He was deeply involved with the Student Christian Movement (SCM). A musician and composer, he made life-long friends with university students.  The students had demonstrated and protested against the Vietnam War.   Minchin left Singapore in 1971 for Trinity College but his interest on this tiny island never left him. It resulted in his writing  No Man Is An Island, A portrait of Singapore’s Lee Kuan Yew.
